Summer Family Photoshoot in an Open Field

The Del Arca Family session took place at Farm 12's field. Usually, this field is full of vibrant purple lupines and lush greenery. However, this summer has been a dry one, and very few lupines were to be found. Did that stop us? Hahaha, no. We got gorgeous shots, and some of them are some of my favorites ever!

Later that same day, I met with Sam, Ryan, & babygirl Liv for their very own summer family photoshoot at this lupine field. The lighting fluctuated, which could be disastrous if your photographer doesn't know what they're doing. Luckily, I am terrified of being said photographer, so I do my research and practice until my index finger is sore. The changing summer lighting added so much variety to their gallery. Scrolling through it feels like you're right there with them, experiencing it in real time.

A few weeks later, I had the honor of working with another family at this location. The Gastelums got even less greenery and lupines. And did it stop us this time? That's right, again, no! (You catch on quick). Dass'ah, Marco, and even baby Emmy seemed underwhelmed by the location upon arrival, with all reason! Nothing describes the joy I felt delivering a stunning session and putting those reservations to rest. It just goes to show how much more important it is that your photographer has a vision and sees the art in you than the location itself!
