Senior Photos in Lupine Field

About the Location

Parking and arrival are a breeze at Van Lierop Park. It's also conviniently located by Farm 12, a non profit restaurant and cafe. So no need to decide where to eat after your session just walk on over for some great quality American cuisine.

Our Senior Photos Experience

This lupine season was a strange one. Not only was it a late bloom. season but the lupines bloomed for about 2 weeks and then dried all the way up. We still got gorgeous sessions in the dry field which you can read about in my Summer Family Photoshoot in an Open Field post. However there was a a split 5 minutes when the lupines were visible and that was for Xochitl's senior photos.

Going into this session it was peak allergy season. Usually if i take medicine im fine, but this flowers are something else! my eyes got red and puffy and my nose was not happy. My clients had told me they thankfully dont have allergies so they would be fine. Yet, 10 mins later everyone was sneexing and tearing up like crazy. So do keep that in mind!

I'm glad to report that the allergy attack did not affect the results at all! with full sun at 6pm we got a lot of variety in lighting and moods which is always a win in my book!
